Now that The nations cup is over, our world cup dream is well gone and the England match has finished. Whats really next?

We spoke about new players in the nations cup and we some how managed to achieve this but do you think we should start looking at making our national team even more stronger especially that we have world class players in the squad that I believe are not being used properly?

like Could the technical team sit and really try to work out how we can fit the likes of Gedo, Abu Treka, Zidan and Zaki in the same team? rather then playing the same old system, over and over again?

I would love to see Gedo and Abu treka playing in the same team aswell as Zidan. Like The brazilain team with Ronaldo, Ronaldinhio and Rivaldo a few years back.

We need a change in style, I seriously believe getting these 3 playing together can help us in so many ways.

I remember brazil once played 4-2-3-1

I suggest we change the name of the topic to "NT line-ups" or "NT tactics"

I think system that would suit the best to our NT would be 4-5-1 as now most of our clubs are playing it.


Goalkeepers :
In last ACN>>>Hadary, Wahed, Aboulseoud.

Hadary is no more playing, if his situation doesn't evolve quickly, Shehata will have to start with Wahed. And call other goalkeepers like Sobhy who played a great game today, or others like Ekramy, Soliman and why not Geish goalkeeper Shenawi.


Central defenders :
In last ACN>>>Gomaa, Fathalla, Saka, Moatasem, Fathi

Saka said he definitely retires in NT level, Gomaa will be 35 soon, we should replace them. We could recall Abdelfadil, Ouka and try others like the young Yahia from Ismaily.


Left back :
In last ACN>>>Moawad, Abdelshafi

We should prepare for succession of Moawad. There are not lot of solutions except a comeback from Farag as an option.


Right back :
In last ACN>>>Mohamady, Fathi

We can try other players like Ahmed Ali from Ahly, Ghanem from Zamalek or maybe Ahmed Sedik.


Central/defensive midfielders :
In last ACN>>>Said, Hosny, Fathi, Ghaly, Tawfik

Said is now a sub in Zamalek. We should give a comeback to Shawky or Homos. And why not giving a try to youngsters like Souleya or Salah. There is also Abdelhamid Sami who got a close profile from Said.


Offensive midfielders :
In last ACN>>>Hassan, Shikabala, Gedo, Zidan, Eid, Mohamady

Hassan should retires now. Abou Trika will comeback provisorily. We could bring back Walid Soliman and Abdallah Said and try youngsters like Alaa Ali.


Centre forward :
In last ACN>>>Meteeb, Raouf, Hamdi

Zaki came back. Mido should not be forgotten. And Gaafar from Zamalek is worth a try.

2 weeks later, the situation doesn't evolve for players like Hadary and Said.

From the current situation, I would switch some players.

Hadary for Wahed. So as 2nd choice I would take Sobhy who is coming back.
Ghanem as Fathi's sub.
Said for Shawky. If Ghaly is suspended, I would replace him by Abdelhamid Sami, who has the same profile than Said or Homos.
Gomaa for Moatasem. So Saka for Ouka and so Zekri as other sub.
Hassan for Trika when he will be fit. But currently I would put Shikabala an Soliman as sub.
I would take Gaafar to compete with Meteeb. When Mido or Zaki will play more they will comeback in the race.

I think Abdel-Hamid Sami is a central defender not a defensive midfielder.
I would pick Amr Elsoleyya for the DM position and Ahmed Dweedar (Police Union)in the centre defender position.
Right back I would go for Hendawy (Geish) and pick Sayed Hamdy over Ahmed Gaafar for the centre forward position.

Guys, just forget the Egyptian NT for the next 4 years. I was the biggest supporter of this team, but now i will never support Egypt again. I sweared to god that if they didnt qualify for South africa, i will never ever support them again. And i'm 100% sure they will fail again in the next qualifications for 2014.

There is really no more hope for any near World Cup, not in 2014 and not in 2018. This time is was the best Egyptian team ever.

Sami is a libero and initially a DM, just like Hany Said, that's why I put him in the middle.

Sayed Hamdi has not scored for a while and for me he's not a pure scorer. I would take it as 3rd choice, for 2nd striker spot.

So what makes you come there?
There is still a hope, yes the best generation is past, but, football is not a science. We managed to reach world cup 90 with a generation that was not the best we had.
