Amr Zaki will be returning to Egypt as he won't be fully recovered in time to be able to play for Hull in their remaining games.

It's been a downward spiral for Zaki's career since December 2008. This guy better smarten up and get back into serious shape, otherwise he'll end up playing in the Middle East for the rest of his career.
Can Zamalek use him again in league play this season? I think it's in Zamalek's best interests to move in another direction...the team has done well without him and as talented as Zaki can be (when healthy), the man has openly stated that he does not feel motivated when playing in Egypt.

Steve Bruce is right, the guy has some problems to deal with obviously before being a success anywhere again. What those "problems" are, I have no clue.
At this point I think he'd be lucky if another EPL team went for him, but I don't think he would perform that well with them anyway. He & other Egyptian players should try & work their way up in Europe before trying to get the big payday in the EPL.

Yeah, Countries like Malta, Cyprus and Luxemborg
Seriously though, either Mido or Zaki should start by playing with Lierse next year in the top Belgium league and go from there. Same for Shikabala or Met3eb or Hossam Ghaly & Hosny Abd Rabo, etc. Not Lierse per se, but a league in Belgium, Holland or a top club in Turkey/Greece. The latter two are Iffy but if they are truly top clubs, they'll play in strong competitions in Europe, etc.

I think that we may be over-estimating the talent of some of our players.
Shikabala can definitely survive in Europe in the long run due to his skill level, speed and versatility (you can use him as a LW, LM, AM, SS). The two problems are his attitude and his football IQ. The football IQ part can be fixed with some good coaching but the attitude problem is something he'll have to deal with himself. I think that he could make it onto a mid-level club in any of the big European leagues but he'd have to fight for a starting spot. He'd probably be a sure-starter on a low-level club in a big league or he could start for a big club in a 2nd tier league.
Meteb can definitely play in Europe but likely in a 2nd tier league. He wont dominate and he wont blow anyone away but I think his predatory nature would make him good for 5-10 goals a season.
You guys already know how I feel about Mido. I think its all up to him if he wants to remain in Europe. He still has the stigma of being a team cancer but his behavior over the last few years indicates that he has been professional and he hasn't caused many problems. Of course, on the pitch, he's been a shadow of his old-self. If he works his butt off in the summer and regains fitness then I can see another Premiership club taking a gamble on him. English clubs really value two qualities that Mido possesses, which are experience and size. Middlsborough still owns him so the worst case scenario for Mido is that he's playing in England's 2nd division next season.
Zaki has burned a lot of bridges for himself. He started off well in England, caused some trouble, got injured, went back to Zamalek where he openly admitted he didnt want to play for them, accepted the only offer he got this past January, went to a relegation bound club and did not play well, got hurt and is now back home doing nothing. The fact that he only got one offer from an English club in January indicates that things aren't looking too good for him over there. I'm not sure what the future holds in store for this guy...what I do know is that he hasn't done anything in about 1.5 years and has a lot to prove. Zamalek still own him but I dont think they're too happy with him...maybe his agent can work out a move where he ends up on loan somewhere else next season.
Ghaly is too inconsistent IMO and I think the days of him playing for a top flight club are over. Maybe he could play in Turkey or Belgium or something but his decision to join a weak Saudi club indicates that money is a priority for him over playing against good competition.
Abd Rabo has not been the same since the 2008 ACN. He was poor for much of 2009 and was inconsistent during the ACN. Here's another guy who choose money over playing real football. I think that his recent poor form and moving to the UAE will dramatically hurt his value and I dont think many European clubs will be interested in him. Here's a guy that was being linked with some European clubs in top leagues but he decides to go to the UAE in the prime of his career
